Spring is in the air

Blog 5:
Went into the mountains overnight to a lovely little village that was in full bloom with apple blossoms. The family we stayed with was very welcoming and nice. Got up early and took a great hike to a shrine for a ghost further up into the hills. When our tour leader was telling us about the shrine and ghost we thought he said "goat" and we very confused why thee was a shrine for a goat. I mean goats are definitely an important an animal, but really? No goat shrines here, though we did joke about it all the way up the mountain. Afterwards the family made us a fabulous lunch of fresh salads, which after 2 weeks of cous cous and tangier salads were welcome.
Took a very long and hot bus ride to Essioura (es-o-wera). It's a lovely beach-port town right on the Atlantic coast. It's nice because it's really easy to get around and everyone is super friendly. Plus, we had no schedule activities and could sleep in! Wandered the medina, had some gelato, and did a lot of people watching. The town is very French, so I had some yummy crepes.
Only a few days left of this journey. It's gone so fast, but I'm ready to move on to another leg of the adventure.
